Job summary

Mase Consulting Ltd. is seeking a Service Account Manager for the Industrial Machinery sector.

The role is home-based with UK travel to customer sites and a focus on managing high-value accounts and aftercare services. You will act as the primary contact for a small portfolio, attend site meetings, and actively promote service contracts, spare parts and machine modifications while coordinating with the Global Service Account Management team.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years in a customer-facing role such as Technical Sales, Key Account Management or After Sales in industrial machinery
• Experience with production machinery, factory automation, or process machinery sectors preferred
• Willingness to travel within the UK and occasional site visits

• Maintain a 100% account management and aftercare focus for a small portfolio of high-value accounts
• Attend customer site meetings and build relationships with Production, Maintenance and Operations managers
• Proactively sell service contracts, modules, modifications and spare parts while ensuring engineers have the right certifications

About The Role

As the UK Service / Aftercare Account Manager, you will operate from a home office and be responsible for:

• Operating in a 100% Account Management and Aftersales Support role.
• Acting as the primary contact for a small portfolio of high value key account customers (<10).
• Attending customer site meetings, building lasting relationships with Production Managers, Maintenance Manager, Operations Managers, Spare Parts Managers and Procurement.
• Taking part internally in global account discussions with the Global Service Account Management team.
• Advising customers of the service portfolio and actively selling service contracts, additional modules, machine modifications and spare parts.
• Ensuring engineers with the correct certifications and competencies are assigned to support the right clients (although day-to-day scheduling is done by the scheduler).
• Ensuring that engineers' certifications are up to date, minimising the risk and disturbance to customers.
• Addressing any customer concerns and providing solutions to their problems.
• Visiting customers who have shown a decline in annual spending to understand the reasons why and overcome any concerns.
• Provide and follow up on spare part quotations.
• Working to annual account growth objectives.
• Conducting business review meetings with assigned customer base.
• Responding to incoming requests for spare parts quotations from your customer base.
• Utilising the SAP system to provide customers with pricing and stock availability of spare and replacement parts.

About You

You must have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in a customer interaction role such as Technical Sales, Key Account Management, Service Sales, After Sales or affiliated in the industrial machinery, factory automation or process machinery sector. This could include but limited to equipment used in the food / beverage processing or pharmaceutical production environment. Any experience working with customers in heavily regulated, high profit industries would be a distinct advantage, as would any technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
