About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven SEO Manager to join the User Growth Tech team at Deliveroo. You will define and execute our global consumer SEO strategy across search engines, app stores, and AI platforms globally. You will ensure our websites and apps are easily discoverable and optimised across all platforms, balancing hands-on implementation with strategic planning.

What You'll Be Doing

  1. Developing SEO Strategy: Develop and implement an integrated SEO strategy for search engines (Google, Bing), app stores (Google Play, Apple App Store), and generative AI tools and search results (ChatGPT, Gemini, AI Overviews etc) globally.
  2. Driving optimisation: Optimise on-page, off-page, and technical SEO to improve rankings and drive organic traffic. Lead App Store Optimisation (ASO) efforts to enhance app visibility and engagement. Stay ahead of emerging AI search trends and adapt strategies to optimise for AI-driven search results, ensuring discoverability across traditional search engines, app stores, and generative AI platforms.
  3. Performance Monitoring: Use tools like Google Search Console, App Store Connect, and SEMrush to track performance and adjust strategies, as well as analysing and reporting on competitor activity.
  4. Cross-functional collaboration: Collaborate closely with product, design, localisation, engineering, local marketing, and brand & creative teams to embed SEO best practices throughout our apps and websites.
  5. SEO trend Reporting: Keep stakeholders updated on SEO developments, ensuring our strategy evolves with industry and consumer behaviour shifts.

What We’re Looking For

  1. Experience: 5+ years hands-on SEO and ASO experience. Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, including site architecture, crawlability, and performance optimisation. Awareness of emerging AI platforms, how consumers are interacting with them to search for information, and how to leverage SEO best practices to drive traffic from these platforms. Experience optimising Apple and Google app store listings.
  2. Data-driven: High proficiency with analytics tools to measure and optimise SEO efforts.
  3. Excellent communication and influence: Ability to explain complex SEO concepts and impact potential to non-technical teams to gain buy-in.
  4. Problem-solving: Demonstrate creative and strategic thinking to tackle SEO challenges in a dynamic and competitive environment.
  5. Adaptability: Comfortable with ambiguity and evolving technologies.
  6. Proactive: Passionate about staying on top of SEO trends.
  7. Growth-oriented: Focused on continuous improvement and driving measurable outcomes.
  8. Collaborative: Experienced in collaborating across departments to achieve growth.
