Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Principal Consultant to bridge the gap between business and technical teams by solving complex Workday Adaptive Planning problems. They will guide clients through the transformation, implementation, and operation phases of a Workday implementation.

You will lead design sessions, manage risks, mentor analysts, and travel on-site as needed, with SC clearance eligibility and UK work eligibility. This role requires strong leadership and deep Workday expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent.
• 5+ years of Workday functional implementation experience required.
• 5+ years implementing functional solutions with EPM or SaaS software required.
• Experience gathering business requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines.
• 5+ years of Financial/Management Accounting or FP&A experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Minimal travel required, but must be willing to travel on-site as needed.
• Eligible for SC Clearance - UK resident for the last five years and legally entitled to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Guide clients through facilitated design sessions and configuration decisions, applying best practices while tailoring solutions to their business requirements.
• Engage with clients throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring a smooth transition from legacy systems to Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision, with updates on progress, risks, and changes to clients and teams.
• Take on leadership responsibilities within projects, including Partner Lead or Delivery Assurance Reviewer.
• Demonstrate hands-on expertise in Workday, including data management, tenant-to-tenant configuration migration, and business process and security configuration.
• Apply technical skills to convert and map data sources into Workday Adaptive Planning.
• Mentor and support consultants and analysts, including guidance on ad hoc assignments.
• Participate in training and knowledge-sharing initiatives to develop skills and organisational capability.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by the manager.
