Job summary

Maxwell Bond is seeking a Senior WordPress Engineer to take technical ownership of a portfolio of websites for a growing residential business in Alderley Edge. The role is hybrid, with core office days Tuesday to Thursday, and offers £50,000–£60,000 per year.

You will be the technical focal point for the web function, collaborating with marketing and internal engineering teams, and gradually shaping the web function as it grows.

Qualifications

• Senior-level WordPress experience.
• Proficient in PHP and MySQL.
• Strong CSS and front-end development skills.
• Experience with WordPress plugins and integrations.
• Comfortable integrating APIs into WordPress.
• Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Taking technical ownership of multiple WordPress websites.
• Developing, maintaining and improving the websites.
• Collaborating with marketing to deliver website changes and new functionality.
• Managing WordPress plugins and integrations.
• Integrating APIs and third-party services.
• Working with internal engineering teams on complex integrations.
• Helping bring more website development in-house.
