Job summary

Adlib Recruitment is seeking a Lead WordPress Engineer to own its WordPress platforms, including a large multi-site estate, combining hands-on development with team and client leadership.

You’ll define the roadmap, guide a major platform build for a global music client, mentor engineers, and enforce quality, security and performance standards in a remote-first role with two office days per month in London or Bristol.

Qualifications

• At least five years’ WordPress development with PHP and core knowledge.
• Experience leading engineers and acting as technical point of contact for clients.
• Proven ability to architect and manage large WordPress multisite networks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the WordPress team, own codebase, delivery and technical decisions.
• Define roadmap and scope for a next‑gen platform with PMs and a major client.
• Oversee plugin suite, themes, blocks; coordinate with DevOps on hosting and CI.
