Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is hiring for a senior Windows desktop developer to design, architect, and ship native applications using Windows App SDK and WinUI. You will collaborate with product design, QA, and other engineers to ensure accessible, high-performance software across Windows 10/11+.

The role is fully remote within a distributed, global team with a quality‑driven culture. You will own end-to-end feature delivery, mentor peers, and help shape long‑term architectural decisions

Qualifications

• 3+ years in Windows desktop development using Windows App SDK/WinUI, with C# (and possibly C++).
• Deep understanding of Windows architecture and interop between managed and native code.
• Proven track record shipping production desktop apps renowned for reliability and performance.
• Strong experience with Windows accessibility APIs and inclusive design.
• Solid fundamentals in OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms, memory management, and concurrency.
• Experience leading design decisions, mentoring engineers, and conducting code reviews.
• Excellent communication to articulate tradeoffs and drive cross‑functional collaboration.
• User‑centric mindset focused on polished, accessible UX.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, architecture, and development of native Windows desktop apps with Windows App SDK/WinUI and C# (plus optional C++).
• Define best practices for architecture, performance, memory, and cross-version compatibility (Windows 10/11+).
• Drive accessibility efforts including screen-readers, keyboard navigation, and UI Automation.
• Collaborate with product/design/QA to shape UI/UX roadmap and feature planning.
• Own full feature lifecycles from concept to release and maintenance.
• Identify and fix complex bugs, performance bottlenecks, and memory leaks; propose robust solutions.
