Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator for Lady Jane Court Care Home in Leicester. You will deliver a broad range of activities to promote residents’ physical, psychological, and social wellbeing and uphold dignity, privacy, independence and fulfilment for all residents.

Key duties include detailing life histories, planning monthly activity schedules, arranging events, and fostering involvement from staff, relatives, and visitors while maintaining a safe, professional

Qualifications

• Previously worked with older people in a residential nursing Dementia setting.
• Experience organising activities and events.
• Effective communication skills, verbal and written.
• A positive attitude toward old people and a commitment to providing stimulating, quality activities and social events.

Responsibilities

• Identify life history, needs and preferences to develop a detailed life story.
• Plan and submit monthly activity and wellbeing plans and a weekly overview to the Home Manager.
• Arrange activities, events and outings, encouraging staff, relatives and visitors involvement.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and contribute to the home’s professional image.
