Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Wellbeing and Activities Assistant for Abbey Court Care Home in Cannock. You will support the Wellbeing Coordinator to deliver activities that stimulate residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing and help create a caring, engaging environment.

As part of the role you will maintain a safe living environment, report changes to the care team, assist with supplies, and build links with the local community to promote intergenerational

Qualifications

• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Positive attitude toward older people and ability to provide engaging activities.
• Experience with older people in dementia care settings.

Responsibilities

• Support the Wellbeing Coordinator in delivering a wide range of activities to engage residents’ physical, cognitive and social wellbeing.
• Maintain a safe living and working environment and uphold the professional image of the home.
• Report changes in residents’ condition to the Wellbeing and Activity Coordinator, Home Manager and care staff.
• Assist with ordering and preparing supplies for upcoming activities as directed.
• Establish links with local community groups to promote intergenerational activities.
