As a Field Engineer, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest quality standards, working within a supportive site team where safety, precision, and collaboration are paramount. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform continuous, notified, and planned surveillance to ensure works are constructed in accordance with contract requirements
  • Notify the Construction Superintendent of non‑conformance requests and contribute to issuing non‑conformance reports
  • Proactively communicate with site teams to ensure timely surveillance reporting
  • Contribute surveillance information to support key performance indicators
  • Identify potential quality issues early to enable proactive mitigating actions
  • Support temporary measures to maintain safety and quality standards, preventing works from halting
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Mechanical engineering, materials, or welding qualifications, or equivalent vocational training and experience
  • Broad knowledge of the engineering construction industry, materials, trades methods, and legal requirements
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills (knowledge of French is an advantage)
  • Proven experience writing accurate and concise diaries relevant to the form of contract
  • Proven track record of working within a large construction team
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality standards under pressure
  • Working knowledge of British and European standards, including RCC‑M, BS EN, and ASME
