Job summary

Orion Electrotech is seeking an experienced Welder to join a well-established manufacturing business with over 100 years of engineering heritage. You will weld components and sub-assemblies to coded standards within a modern production environment, supporting high-quality products for global sectors.

The role requires a time-served apprenticeship and at least 5 years' welding experience, with proficiency in TIG, MMA and MAG processes, and the ability to read drawings and welding procedures to

Qualifications

• Time-served welding apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a welder.
• Proficient in TIG, MMA and MAG welding processes.
• Able to read engineering drawings and welding procedures.
• Experience with carbon and stainless steels.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Weld components in line with engineering drawings, specifications and procedures.
• Prepare welding equipment and work surfaces prior to production.
• Inspect and maintain welding equipment to required standards.
• Record work accurately using ERP systems.
• Monitor consumables and maintain welding rod stores.
• Meet production schedules while maintaining quality.
• Follow Health & Safety, Environmental and 5S procedures.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives.
