Job summary

Advanced Engineering in Luton, Bedfordshire, is seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join its established engineering team. You will weld carbon and stainless steel across thickness ranges, interpret drawings and welding procedures, and work to ISO, ASME or AWS standards.

The role requires a time-served welding apprenticeship and 5 years' coded welding experience, with TIG, MMA and MAG welding skills. Brazing experience is desirable and you may perform NDT-inspected work while maintaining

Qualifications

Time-served welding apprenticeship required.
Minimum 5 years' experience as a coded welder in engineering/manufacturing.
Experience with TIG, MMA and MAG welding.
Coded welding qualifications and ability to read engineering drawings/WPS.
Experience with carbon and stainless steel materials.
Experience welding pipework/pressure vessels or critical components.
Experience with welding standards ISO, ASME or AWS.
NDT inspection exposure or requirement.
Brazing experience desirable, torch or induction.

Responsibilities

Weld carbon and stainless steel across various thicknesses.
Set up welding equipment and prepare surfaces.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures.
Weld pipework, plate and critical components.
Work to high quality standards with NDT where required (UT/RT).
Maintain welding equipment, consumables and work areas.
Record work in the ERP system and meet production timescales.
Support continuous improvement and maintain good housekeeping and H&S standards.
