Job summary

Equans seeks a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer (Water) to join the facilities team at Southmead Hospital in Bristol. The role covers supervision of the water hygiene team, maintenance of water systems and plant, and ensuring compliance with HTM and Written Scheme of Control.

On-site, Monday–Friday, with two alternating shift blocks. You will train to become an Authorised Responsible Person for Water and Pool Plant Operator, support contractor management, and drive safe, compliant

Qualifications

• Must hold a recognised mechanical trade apprenticeship and/or relevant qualifications to level 3.
• Plumbing experience essential.
• Prior supervisory experience is essential.
• Able to read technical drawings and diagnose faults.
• IT literate and able to use digital maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

• Oversee water hygiene team and maintenance activities.
• Ensure safe operation and maintenance of water systems and equipment.
• Maintain and analyse water systems maintenance in Zetasafe.
• Oversee subcontractors and manage contractors to safe working practices.
• Ensure PPM and Reactive tasks meet contract timescales.
