Job summary

Equans UK & Ireland is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with water bias to join our Westminster, London team. This hands-on role covers maintenance of water and mechanical systems within a building services context, offering opportunities to work with engineers and subcontractors.

The successful candidate will perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance, respond to call-outs, and assist with fabric and electrical systems as needed.

Qualifications

• L8 qualified with City & Guilds or NVQ in plumbing and mechanical engineering.
• Experience in building services and the 18th Edition Test and Inspection.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and show initiative.
• Full clean driving licence and ability to gain CTC clearance.
• Strong safety focus and high standards of workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including domestic and closed water systems, plumbing, air conditioning, and pressure systems.
• Provide first line response to reactive call-outs, ensuring all work is completed safely and in compliance with approved codes of practice.
• Assist with building fabric and electrical systems maintenance as required.
• Collaborate with engineering supervisor and specialist subcontractors to deliver high quality service.
