Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Water Resource and Resilience Planning Manager to lead the development of long-term plans and strategies for resilient water supply across the region. You will drive evidence-based options, align with regulatory commitments, and sponsor major investment programmes with senior leadership accountability.

The role requires expertise in water-resource planning, strong stakeholder collaboration, and the ability to manage complex regulated projects through to delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline with postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Experience in water resources planning or infrastructure development.
• Strong knowledge of water supply systems and regulatory context.
• Ability to interpret planning legislation and communicate implications.
• Experience leading large projects and sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for the development of Water Resources Management Plan, Regional Plan and Drought Plan.
• Lead the assessment of demand and supply-side options and ensure a robust portfolio.
• Sponsor and oversee major investment programmes and regulatory commitments.
• Coordinate with regulators, partners and internal teams to deliver value.
• Ensure safe, compliant delivery and alignment with long-term resilience goals.
