Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Water Resources Sustainability Manager to lead long-term planning for resilient water resources across the region. The role involves steering environmental programmes, building relationships with regulators and partners, and guiding a small team to deliver sustainable water solutions.

You will shape Water Resources Management Plans, drought plans and regional strategies, ensuring evidence-based, deliverable results that support customer needs and regulatory

Qualifications

• Degree in an environmental, engineering, scientific or related discipline.
• Experience in water, environmental, infrastructure or consultancy sectors. Regulated environment knowledge.
• Strong understanding of environmental management and water resources planning.

Responsibilities

• Lead water resources sustainability programme and long-term resilience planning.
• Oversee environmental programmes with delivery on time, budget and quality.
• Develop evidence base for Water Resources Management Plans and drought planning.
• Build relationships with regulators, NGOs and regional partners to align outcomes.
• Forecast environmental risks and translate into practical delivery plans.
• Collaborate across Water Resources, Asset Management, Operations and Strategy teams.
• Provide leadership to a small, high-performing team and promote safety.
• Represent Yorkshire Water externally to influence industry thinking.
