Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Tactical Asset Planner to join the Integrated Catchment Management team in Sheffield. You will develop robust methodologies to assess wastewater asset and catchment risks, and analyse complex datasets to identify root causes and impacts.

You will contribute to tactical and strategic planning with solid technical knowledge, producing regulatory outputs and insights through clear reporting. The role offers a hybrid working pattern and 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent.
• Experience in water/regulatory environments is desirable.
• Knowledge of drainage network modelling and GIS.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of robust methodologies to assess wastewater asset and catchment risks.
• Analyse complex datasets (telemetry, hydraulic models) to identify root causes and impacts.
• Contribute to tactical and strategic planning with sound technical knowledge.
• Identify cost-effective solutions that ensure compliance and support business cases.
• Produce and assure high-quality regulatory outputs and data.
• Develop insights through reporting and GIS/data visualisation platforms.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to address shared risks.
• Represent Yorkshire Water in industry forums and communicate complex issues clearly.
