Job summary

Arcadis in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Water Management Consultant focused on water resources to join our Climate Adaptation team. You will lead technical work packages, deliver water resource assessments and Water Cycle Studies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide sustainable solutions for clients across the public and private sectors.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience delivering water resource and water environment projects within the UK.
• Strong understanding of water resource assessment methodologies & integrated water management.
• Experience leading technical tasks with project support.
• Proven ability to write technical reports for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership on water resource & integrated water management projects.
• Lead water resource assessments, water balance studies and availability investigations.
• Support Water Cycle Studies and Water Resource Management Plans.
• Deliver abstraction licence applications and water environment permitting.
• Contribute to Environmental Impact Assessments & Water Framework Directive assessments.
• Mentor junior team members and support knowledge sharing.

Education

Degree in Water Resources / Civil/Environmental Engineering / Geography / Hydrology or related

Experience delivering UK water resource projects

Technical report writing & communicating complex information

Ability to mentor junior staff

Strong client & stakeholder engagement
