Job summary

Murphy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the Water team in the North West. You will manage a portfolio of water and wastewater projects from design through to handover, engaging with major clients and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

The role requires extensive client-facing experience, strong NEC contract knowledge, and proven capability to deliver on schedule and budget while ensuring HSE and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years post-graduate experience in client-facing roles within water/wastewater.
• Experience with large-scale municipal wastewater treatment design/ops/maintenance.
• Knowledge of HAZOP/HAZCON and health & safety in project delivery.
• Experience implementing CDM regulations in project delivery.

Responsibilities

• Engage with key water company clients to identify needs and support tendering teams.
• Oversee daily management of a portfolio including design, MEICA, commissioning and handover.
• Manage project delivery across programme, budget and HSE performance for all projects.
• Lead and develop staff and maintain professional client relationships.
• Ensure projects comply with Health & Safety, CDM and environmental regulations.
• Review RAMS and technical proposals/drawings for compliance.
• Provide input for tenders and secure new work.
• Develop project programmes using MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Produce project performance reports for monthly management reviews.
