Job summary

J Murphy & Sons is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our Water team in the North West. You will lead complex water/wastewater projects, coordinating process engineering, MEICA, and site activities with a disciplined focus on safety, quality and client satisfaction.

You will manage multi-disciplinary teams, drive delivery against milestones, and ensure adherence to NEC contracts, commercial procedures and environmental standards across major utility schemes.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ relevant post-graduate experience in a client-facing capacity within the water/wastewater process/MEICA sector.
• Working knowledge of large-scale Municipal Wastewater Treatment including Process and MEICA design/operations/maintenance.
• Understanding of design processes including HAZOP/HAZCON and health & safety in project delivery.
• Proven delivery of significant water/wastewater projects and programmes with supply chain collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Engage with key water company clients to identify needs and support tendering teams in compliant solutions.
• Oversee daily management of a portfolio of projects across design, process, civil, MEICA, commissioning and handover.
• Lead and develop staff, maintain client relationships and ensure delivery on time and budget.
• Ensure projects comply with HSE, CDM and environmental regulations; review RAMS and engineering proposals.
• Produce project performance reports and contribute to monthly reviews with senior management.
