Job summary
Stantec's Pipe Technology Group in the UK is seeking a Pipeline Civil Engineer to deliver technical engineering across major pipeline projects. You will work with clients and multidisciplinary teams on material selection, buried pipeline design, thrust restraint, and trenchless technologies.
You will apply advanced pipeline analysis tools, evaluate rehabilitation options, lead condition and failure assessments, and contribute to proposals and technical reports while engaging industry bodies such
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related field, Chartered or Incorporated status (or pursuing).
- Proven experience in pipeline disciplines: structural design of buried pipelines, thrust restraint, trunk main design.
- Familiarity with pipeline rehabilitation, trenchless design, and piping analysis software (CAESAR II).
- Strong proposal and report-writing skills and ability to liaise with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical engineering across the full lifecycle of major pipeline projects.
- Oversee deliverables including material selection and structural design of buried pipelines.
- Lead condition and failure assessments to extend asset life.
- Contribute to proposals and high-level technical reports.
