Job summary

Mott MacDonald is recruiting Senior Civil Engineers for Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle offices within the Water Utilities Division. You will lead outline and detailed design for water and wastewater projects, coordinating teams across disciplines to deliver practical, buildable solutions for UK clients.

Qualifications

• Civil engineering degree or equivalent is required.
• Chartered or near chartered status (ICE or equivalent) preferred.
• Water and/or wastewater or infrastructure design experience preferred.
• Experience preparing or reviewing calculations, drawings, specifications, or design submissions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Awareness of health, safety and environmental issues.
• Proactive and adaptable, able to work across design teams.
• Knowledge of CDM duties of Designers and Principal Designers.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outline and detailed civil engineering design for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare and coordinate design deliverables (calculations, drawings, specs, schedules).
• Work closely with hydraulic, process, mechanical, electrical, environmental and construction teams.
• Manage design interfaces and resolve technical issues to ensure buildable designs.
• Support technical assurance and review design information per client requirements.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
