Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the Water Utilities Division across our Manchester, Leeds and Newcastle offices. You will deliver outline and detailed design for water and wastewater projects, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical, buildable solutions and support clients throughout delivery.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree required and chartered status preferred.
• Experience in water and/or wastewater engineering and infrastructure design.
• Proven ability to deliver outline and detailed design deliverables.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to multi-disciplinary teams.
• Awareness of health, safety, environment and CDM requirements.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and interface with clients.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outline and detailed civil engineering design for water and wastewater projects.
• Prepare and coordinate design deliverables: calculations, drawings, specs, schedules.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams (hydraulic, process, mechanical, electrical, environmental, construction).
• Manage design interfaces and resolve technical issues for safe, buildable solutions.
• Support technical assurance and review design information per project requirements.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and maintain client relationships.
