Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking Senior Civil Engineers (design engineers) for the Water Utilities Division, with work across water treatment, distribution, wastewater, and desalination projects in the UK. You will contribute to feasibility through detailed design, supporting professional development while collaborating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering degree and chartered status with strong communication skills and a proactive, safety-focused

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering degree or equivalent
• Chartered or near Chartered status (ICE or equivalent)
• Water and/or wastewater design experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental priorities
• Proactive and adaptable to changing scenarios

Responsibilities

• Work across multiple UK&I water companies.
• Be part of multi-disciplinary design teams in project delivery.
• Deliver excellence in design submissions and analysis.
• Prepare design submissions to ensure contract compliance.
• Undertake studies, concept, preliminary and detailed design.
• Interface with clients and other stakeholders.
