Job summary

Sweco is seeking a Senior/Principal Wastewater Modeller (Urban Drainage) to join our Water department in Leeds. The role offers a flexible, hybrid working pattern with a minimum of three days per week in the office and adjusted start/finish times.

You will lead an urban drainage modelling team, manage technical delivery, and mentor junior modellers while delivering diverse projects across public and private clients. Chartered status with ICE/CIWEM is preferred for the Principal role.

Qualifications

• Experience in hydrology/hydraulic modelling and delivering complex urban drainage projects.
• Ability to lead modelling teams and manage cost and programme.
• Mentoring junior modellers and collaborating with clients and internal teams.
• Chartered status with ICE/CIWEM or near-chartered status is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of modelling work in urban drainage projects with clients and technical teams.
• Mentor and coach junior modellers and support knowledge transfer.
• Develop modelling processes and tools to enhance efficiency and quality of outputs.
• Manage project scope, cost and schedule while ensuring regulatory compliance.
