Job summary

Sweco in Leeds is seeking a Wastewater/Urban Drainage Modeller to join our Water department. The role offers flexible working with a minimum of three days in the office weekly, plus adjusted start/finish times. You will work on diverse projects, from feasibility studies to surface water management plans, using advanced modelling tools.

Qualifications

Previous water consultancy experience or hydraulic modelling exposure is desirable.
A degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geography or related field with engineering/hydraulics/GIS content.
Interest in the water environment and sustainability and climate adaptation.
Experience with GIS and hydraulic modelling software is desirable.
Commitment to continuous professional development and becoming chartered.

Responsibilities

Develop hydraulic models and support project delivery within the Urban Drainage Modelling Team.
Contribute to feasibility studies, model building, verification and design deliverables.
Work on surface water management plans and development impact assessments.
Prepare technical reports and client-facing documents with data analysis.
Engage with clients and stakeholders, manage project activities to budget and programme.
