Job summary

Yolk Recruitment Ltd is recruiting a Warehouse & Logistics Manager based in Lydney to take ownership of two warehouse facilities and the wider logistics function. You'll lead a team of Warehouse and Logistics staff, manage external warehousing, inventory accuracy, and international shipping understanding.

The role suits an operational people manager with hands-on leadership and a track record in improving efficiency.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a warehouse operation in manufacturing/FMCG
• Proven track record leading warehouse or logistics teams with 1:1s, performance management, KPI management
• Strong inventory control and stock accuracy across multiple locations
• Experience managing warehouse capacity and space constraints and planning around production/storage needs
• Systems capability with ERP/MRP and/or Warehouse Management Systems; SAP advantageous
• Proficient in Excel and using operational data to monitor stock and capacity
• Proven track record of continuous improvement in warehouse processes and efficiency
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and organizational skills across departments
• Experience working with 3PLs/hauliers or external warehouse providers advantageous
• Knowledge of international shipping, customs clearance, road/sea freight or Incoterms beneficial
• Experience in pharmaceutical or FMCG manufacturing advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operation of the on-site warehouse with a team
• Manage relationships with external warehouse facilities and coordinate stock transfers
• Monitor capacity, stock movements and inventory accuracy
• Oversee inbound/outbound transport and carrier relationships
• Drive continuous improvement to safety, efficiency, and cost
• Collaborate with Production and Supply Chain to meet material requirements
• Develop, coach and KPI-manage Warehouse and Logistics teams
