Job summary

Optima Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced Warehouse & Logistics Manager to lead a client’s warehouse and logistics operation in the United Kingdom. The role focuses on inbound/outbound logistics, inventory control and budget management while maintaining high service and safety standards.

You will develop the warehouse team, monitor KPIs, and drive continuous improvement to support business objectives in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Five years' experience in warehouse or logistics management.
Proven experience leading warehouse teams in fast-paced environments.
Strong understanding of warehouse operations, inventory management and logistics.
Experience managing budgets and operational performance.
Knowledge of import/export procedures and Health & Safety compliance.
Experience with WMS/ERP; SAP advantageous.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

Manage the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring the smooth receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
Lead, motivate, and develop the warehouse team to achieve operational targets.
Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Oversee inbound and outbound logistics to ensure efficiency and customer service standards are met.
Coordinate continuous improvement projects to enhance warehouse performance and productivity.
Manage import and export activities, ensuring compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.
Prepare, monitor, and control departmental budgets.
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
Maintain accurate stock control and inventory management processes.
Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure seamless operational performance.
Produce operational reports and management information as required.
Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
