Job summary

Loom Talent is supporting a leading 3PL business to appoint a Senior Warehouse General Manager - Contract Logistics in Kettering. The role leads a large-scale, multi-user operation with accountability for safety, service, productivity and cost across open and closed book contracts.

The successful candidate will drive customer relationships, profitability and continuous improvement, while developing the leadership team and ensuring strategic alignment with the site’s performance targets.

Qualifications

• Logistics and supply chain background essential.
• Extensive leadership experience in large-scale warehousing and distribution.
• Experience operating in a multi-user 3PL environment.
• Strong understanding of open and closed book commercial models.
• Excellent customer and stakeholder management capability.
• Proven track record of developing leadership teams and improving operational performance.
• Strong knowledge of warehouse productivity, labour planning and cost control.
• Strategic thinker with hands-on day-to-day operational visibility.
• Commutable to Kettering region five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for day-to-day performance of the multi-user operation.
• Lead through the senior management team with clear accountability.
• Act as senior operational contact with key customers and ensure service commitments.
• Own financial performance including budget, cost control and profitability.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity and commercial performance.
• Lead, coach and develop the management team and culture.
• Champion health & safety and regulatory compliance.
• Balance strategic aims with day-to-day operational needs.
