Priory Hospital Cheadle Royal is seeking a Deputy Ward Manager to lead shifts on a mixed acute ward, supervise nursing staff and deputise for the Ward Manager as required. The post focuses on therapeutic interventions, risk management and safe staffing for young people and adults with mental health and learning disability needs.

The role requires active NMC registration and post-registration experience, with a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours weekly. DBS checks are supported by Priory.

• Demonstrable expertise within a clinical speciality.

Mansioni

• Lead shifts and deputise for Ward Manager when required.
• Supervise and develop nursing staff through CPD, mandatory training and supervision.
• Assess and manage risk to maintain safe and therapeutic care.
• Maintain safe staffing levels and ensure appropriate skill mix.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary working and staff recruitment/retention.
