Job summary

Priory Hospital Bristol is seeking a Deputy Ward Manager for the Female Acute ward. You will lead the ward, ensure a safe, therapeutic environment and uphold governance and staffing requirements.

Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council is essential. The role offers 37.5 hours per week, a salary between £43,014 and £46,314, and a supportive path into leadership with extensive training and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 18 Months - 2 years’ experience post-registration; demonstrable expertise within a clinical speciality.
• Experience in an Acute setting.
• Active Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the ward as a Senior Nurse, ensuring a safe, therapeutic and inclusive environment for patients, families, visitors and staff.
• Provide clinical leadership and supervision; support CPD, mandatory training, appraisal and performance management of staff; act as role model for learning and development.
• Support recruitment and retention and deputise for the Ward Manager when required.
