Job summary

Summer-Browning Associates is seeking a Senior VMware Infrastructure Engineer for a six-month assignment with hybrid working in Milton Keynes. The candidate should hold an active security clearance and have deep VMware engineering experience in secure environments, including ESXi, vSphere, vCenter, vSAN and VMware Aria, plus VCF/NSX knowledge.

The role focuses on design, configuration, administration, and ongoing support of VMware platforms within a government context, delivering private cloud

Qualifications

• Proven experience supporting VMware platforms in secure public sector environments.
• Design, configuration, administration and support of VMware technologies (ESXi, vSphere, HA, vCenter, vSAN, Aria).
• Experience with VMware Private Cloud using VCF and NSX architecture and design.
• VMware qualifications: VCP-DCV, NSX or VCAP.

Responsibilities

• Provide VMware engineering support in a secure government environment.
• Assist design and deployment of VMware Private Cloud and related NSX/VCF architectures.

Location: Milton Keynes - Hybrid working

Summer-Browning Associates is currently supporting our central government client, which is seeking a Senior VMware Infrastructure Engineer for an initial six-month assignment, with the option to extend.

The ideal candidate will hold an active security clearance and have a strong background in VMware engineering, demonstrating the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience supporting VMware platforms in secure environments within the public sector.
• Proficiency in the design, configuration, administration, and support of VMware technologies, including ESXi, vSphere, HA configuration, vCenter, vSAN & VMware Aria.
• Experience in VMware Private Cloud setup and management using VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and NSX architecture and design.
• VMware qualifications should include: VCP-DCV, NSX or VCAP.
