Job summary

CBSbutler Ltd. is seeking a Senior VMware/VCF Infrastructure Engineer to support a major UK defence submarine project. You will design, implement and migrate VMware infrastructure with VCF and NSX at the core, in a security-sensitive environment.

The role focuses on on-premise to cloud migration, SDDC transformation, and integration of vSAN/HCX/VMware Aria. Hybrid onsite requirement applies with two days per week in Reading.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and NSX/NSX-T.
• Strong VMware design and implementation skills for enterprise environments.
• Experience migrating on-prem to cloud, with SDDC focus.

Rate: Up to £650 per day inside IR35
Location: Reading / Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite
Contract: 6-month rolling contract

I'm recruiting for a Senior VMware / VCF Infrastructure Engineer to join a major UK defence programme supporting a high-profile submarine project.

This is a genuinely interesting infrastructure transformation programme, centred around a significant on-premise to cloud migration, with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and NSX at the heart of the solution. We're looking for someone who can design, implement and migrate enterprise VMware infrastructure and is comfortable working on complex, security-sensitive environments.

Expereince required:

You'll need strong, hands-on experience across:

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) - essential
• VMware vSphere / ESXi / vCenter
• NSX / NSX-T
• VMware infrastructure design & implementation
• On-premise to cloud migration
• Infrastructure transformation / SDDC
• vSAN, HCX and/or VMware Aria would be highly desirable
