Markets Operations represents the evolution and transformation of Operations in the Finance Industry, creating a unique approach to delivering our products and solutions. We are a dynamic, global, and diverse organization with a presence in over 60 countries, covering all post-execution operations including product-aligned Middle Office, Settlements, Margin, Asset Servicing, Listed Derivative, Clearing & Commodities Operations. We support a broad range of Capital Markets products and services, including Fixed Income (FX, Rates, Credit, Muni, Cash, Derivatives), Equity (Cash, Derivatives, Prime Brokerage, Futures, Listed Derivatives, Clearing, Foreign Exchange Prime Brokerage), and Syndicates for FI and EQ new issues and IPOs.

Our operations are central to all activity at the firm, impacting the entire trade lifecycle. We collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Trading, Compliance, Legal, Finance, and HR, and interact with our external clients to ensure a first-class experience. We maintain a robust control environment, complying with regulations and internal policies, proactively reducing risks through continuous control evaluation.

We work closely with global peers, partners, and regulators, leading initiatives to optimize and streamline processes and drive strategic industry-wide improvements.

Margin & Collateral Operations within Markets Operations helps mitigate risk and meet regulatory requirements, delivering capabilities in margin and collateral management, inventory, and risk management. The team supports global markets across products, regions, and divisions, engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Product & Business Development is a new and expanding team within Margin & Collateral Operations, responsible for designing and executing products and services aligned with strategic goals.

Transformation:

The Margin & Collateral Operations Program is a multi-year investment initiative aimed at transformation. The successful candidate will develop products and services aligned with the target operating model, foster collaboration, design robust processes, and implement new platforms.

What you’ll do

  • Operate as a senior leader within the Product & Business Development team, possessing deep product or service expertise, with knowledge of front-to-back flows, risks, and regulations.
  • Product Owner: Lead product development and strategy for specific product lines or services, ensuring they meet or exceed expectations.
  • Design products/services: Ensure developments align with the target operating model and standards, working closely with Margin & Collateral Optimization leadership.
  • Execute developments: Deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Drive transformation initiatives: Lead efforts to reduce risks and costs, enhance client service, and increase revenue.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Work with Technology, Markets, Operations, Risk, and vendors.
  • Provide evaluative judgment: Analyze complex situations using diverse information sources.
  • Deep knowledge: Demonstrate expertise in margin and collateral optimization.
  • People & Culture:

What we’ll need from you

  • BA/BS degree preferred.
  • Extensive experience in margin and collateral management, regulations, products, practices, risks, and strategic change programs, preferably at a large financial institution.
  • Strong communication skills, with success interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Innovative, flexible, collaborative, proactive leadership qualities.
  • Logical thinker, problem solver, results-oriented.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication, able to present to senior decision-makers without jargon.
  • Sound judgment and risk management mindset, with effective controls and processes.
  • Ability to build trust and establish relationships across the organization, with a client-focused approach.
  • Awareness of industry best practices and maintaining a balanced, fresh perspective.
