Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Senior Engineer for Verification & Validation Delivery. You will lead verification strategies, work as an intelligent customer across RR SMR, and support safety-case verification for a nuclear infrastructure project.

You will collaborate with design leads and specialists, mentoring others, and ensuring rigorous checks while balancing safety and quality across a complex program.

Qualifications

• Experience in verification and validation of new products in safety-critical environments.
• Experience leading complex engineering projects with nuclear experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong project management with scope, schedule, resource and financial control.
• Experience identifying and escalating technical and programme risks.

Responsibilities

• Develop verification and validation strategies within your area of responsibility.
• Act as an intelligent customer in the V&V of the plant and across the RR SMR business.
• Support the verification and validation of the safety case.
• Produce reports for regulatory bodies and discuss findings with regulators.
• Define objectives and requirements for verification activities and align with delivery teams.
• Review evidence of verification activities and manage technical interfaces across functions.
• Coach and review the work of others to raise technical quality.
