Job summary

Hawk Hiring is seeking a skilled Vehicle Mechanic for a family-owned workshop in Wolverhampton. The role covers routine servicing, diagnostics, and preventative maintenance across multiple brands within a modern, high-spec facility.

The successful candidate will have time-served garage experience, strong mechanical ability, and a valid UK driving licence. Fully funded upskilling pathways include MOT tester licensing and EV/hybrid credentials.

Qualifications

• Time-served garage experience.
• Strong mechanical ability with good tool confidence.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine vehicle servicing, preventative maintenance, and core mechanical/electrical repairs.
• Troubleshoot complex vehicle issues using modern diagnostic systems.
• Perform thorough safety inspections, vehicle health checks, and fault isolation.
• Maintain electronic job records and liaise with service advisors regarding timelines & parts ordering.
• Work with a close-knit workshop team to ensure right-first-time turnarounds.
