Job summary

Logical Personnel Solutions is seeking a Valve Supervisor in Grimsby to lead field technicians, drive safety and QA compliance, and provide technical guidance on valve products and services.

You will manage enquiries from receipt to PO, plan jobs with Site Managers, oversee costs, and engage with customers to promote new services while coordinating with procurement and support teams. Relocate or travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Recognised mechanical qualifications.
• Extensive valve knowledge and overhaul experience.
• Awareness of QA & Safety standards.
• Site supervisory and management skills.
• Troubleshooting and solving technical problems.
• Commercial Awareness.
• Technical skills to support PSV, Isolation and Control and instruments.
• Computer literate, with Microsoft and CRM experience.
• Comfortable travelling and working away from home.
• UK driving licence.
• Right to Work in UK.

Responsibilities

• Champion and drive all technician safety compliance paperwork and documentation, ensuring full technician adherence to safety procedures in the field, including the completion of quality and safety reporting (NCR's and supporting investigations).
• Conduct ADR's with technicians in a timely and thorough manner.
• Conduct regular customer visits or meetings, building relationships and providing technical sales advice when required.
• Own overall job ownership—from receipt of enquiry, creating RFQ's, ensuring PO is in place, liaising with Site Managers regarding job planning and progress, and managing ongoing job costs to maximise CM%.
• Engage with support functions and operations to ensure clarity and contribution to KPI achievement.
• Ensure every job is carried out to the expected level of quality, obtaining feedback and communicating improvements via method statements and risk assessments to technicians.
• Support operational requirements by working 'on the tools' if necessary, including site surveys and supervising large projects/shutdowns when required.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Stores Department when required; coordinate with service line technical support.
• Communicate effectively with all levels within the business to ensure successful completion of jobs.
• Work closely with all UK Supervisors.
