Job summary

Score Group is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead all operations and commercial activities across Brighouse, Hull and Ireland, ensuring safety, on-time delivery and quality for clients. The role requires a strong technical grounding in valves or industrial equipment and a proven track record in managing people, budgets, and client relationships in an engineering setting.

You will drive performance, profitability and continuous improvement while coordinating cross-functional teams

Qualifications

• Significant experience in an operations management role within a valve, manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proven track record managing multi-site operations.
• Proven experience identifying and winning new business within valve, actuator, or industrial/engineering services sectors.
• Demonstrable P&L / budget ownership experience; able to target financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with policies and work instructions.
• Lead operations and commercial activities at Brighouse, Hull, and Ireland sites.
• Develop and deliver annual operations budget and monitor costs, margins and performance.
• Drive growth and new commercial opportunities to expand revenue and customer base.
• Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency and profitability.
• Investigate and close-out customer complaints and implement preventative measures.
• Approve purchase orders, contract reviews, and invoices.
• Ensure HSE, quality and housekeeping standards are met.
• Organise weekly Production/Priority meetings to meet contractual targets.
• Represent operations at ELT level and contribute to wider strategy.
• Compile monthly financial performance reports.
