Aldwych Consulting in London is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to join its growing team, delivering development planning, transport strategies and active travel projects. You will own projects, develop client relationships and mentor junior staff.

The role requires at least 4 years in consultancy, a relevant degree, and proficiency with PICADY/ARCADY; you will liaise with clients, authorities and stakeholders and contribute to feasibility studies and masterplanning while embracing agile

Formación

• At least 4 years’ experience in development planning within a transport planning consultancy.
• Degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Geography or related discipline.
• Strong understanding of the planning system and development-related transport requirements.
• Experience preparing Transport Assessments, Transport Statements and Travel Plans.
• Proficiency in PICADY and ARCADY, with knowledge of LinSig, Vissim or Paramics advantageous.
• Excellent communication and ability to engage with clients and stakeholders; capable of supporting junior team members.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and review Transport Assessments, Transport Statements, Travel Plans and other technical reports.
• Assess development impacts in line with planning policy and transport standards.
• Manage smaller projects, budgets and technical deliverables.
• Support junior colleagues through technical guidance and knowledge sharing.
• Develop multimodal access strategies and transport solutions for development and public-sector projects.
• Contribute to feasibility studies and masterplanning for larger development sites.
• Undertake transport analysis, including junction and capacity modelling.
• Liaise with clients, architects, developers, local authorities and other stakeholders.
• Attend client meetings and public consultation events.
• Support business development, networking and the development of client relationships.
