Job summary

Stantec are seeking a Senior/Principal Transport Planner to join our Transport Planning team in Leeds or Manchester. You will lead major transport appraisals and business case studies, working with clients and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projects across the UK.

You will mentor junior staff, support business development, and develop robust evidence bases to inform investment decisions, while staying abreast of transport trends and sustainable solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport appraisal and business case projects.
• Experience developing evidence bases to support transport investment decisions.
• Knowledge of transport modes including active travel and public transport.
• Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and delivery of high-profile transport projects, incl. major appraisals and business cases.
• Support business development activities within transport planning.
• Develop robust evidence to support investment decisions and monitor outcomes.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to junior team members.
• Contribute to innovative, sustainable transport solutions across the UK.
