Job summary
Stantec in Birmingham seeks an experienced Principal Transport Planner to lead development planning and transport projects from its city-centre office on Cherry Street. You will work with developers, landowners and property-sector clients to deliver practical transport solutions and robust strategies across residential, mixed-use and commercial schemes.
You will mentor junior planners, contribute to bids, and help grow the Birmingham Transport Planning team.
Qualifications
- Significant experience within transport planning consultancy.
- Strong experience in development planning, residential/mixed-use/ commercial or strategic land development.
- Experience working with developers, housebuilders, landowners or property-sector clients.
- Strong understanding of planning and development process and role of transport planning.
- Experience preparing and reviewing Transport Assessments/Statements/Travel Plans/strategies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical delivery of development planning and transport planning projects.
- Provide transport planning advice across residential, mixed-use, commercial and strategic development schemes.
- Work with developers and landowners to develop practical transport solutions.
- Advise clients from land promotion and masterplanning through to planning applications and delivery.
- Mentor junior team members and support business development.
