Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to lead transport planning projects from our London office. You will own project delivery, build client relationships, and mentor junior members of the team.

The role involves preparing Transport Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans, supporting Environmental Statements, and coordinating with design teams. A relevant degree and CIHT/RTPI progress are preferred.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in transport planning, civil engineering, or related field.
• A professional qualification or progress towards CIHT or RTPI.
• Proven transport planning experience, ideally in consultancy.
• Ability to manage projects and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of transport assessments and planning policy.
• Experience with data analysis and junction modelling tools.

Requirements

• A relevant degree in transport planning, civil engineering, or a related field.
• A professional qualification, or progress towards one, such as CIHT or RTPI.
• Proven transport planning experience, ideally within a consultancy.

• An understanding of transport assessments and relevant planning policy.
• Experience with data analysis and junction modelling tools such as JUNCTIONS, LinSig, or similar.
• Familiarity with transport design standards and AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• A collaborative approach and a strong commitment to delivering quality work.
