Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior Transport Planner to lead transport planning projects from our London office. You will own project delivery, build client relationships, and mentor junior members of the team.

The role involves preparing Transport Statements, Assessments and Travel Plans, supporting Environmental Statements, and coordinating with design teams. A relevant degree and CIHT/RTPI progress are preferred.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in transport planning, civil engineering, or related field.
• A professional qualification or progress towards CIHT or RTPI.
• Proven transport planning experience, ideally in consultancy.
• Ability to manage projects and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of transport assessments and planning policy.
• Experience with data analysis and junction modelling tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, and Travel Plans for developments.
• Support transport inputs to Environmental Statements.
• Manage project workloads, timelines, and coordination with internal teams.
• Attend meetings with clients, authorities, and design teams.
• Contribute to site access strategies and sustainable transport solutions.
• Assist with budgeting and resource planning.
• Support and mentor junior team members.
• Help develop new opportunities and London presence.
