Job summary

WSP Seeks a Principal Development Planner in Scotland to lead development transport planning work across commercial, retail and residential sectors. You will guide transport strategies, masterplanning inputs and expert witness support while collaborating with highways, structures and environmental teams.

You will manage project delivery, mentor junior staff and help grow our client network, developing transport and parking strategies for both public and private sector clients.

Qualifications

• Experience leading technical work on Transport Assessments, Travel Plans or parking strategies.
• Experience in preparing traffic flow information for Transport Assessments or Environmental Statements.
• Experience with junction capacity modelling software such as Junctions 10 or Linsig.
• Ability to manage budgets, resources and invoicing on small to medium projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day technical transport planning inputs for development planning projects.
• Mentor Early Career Professionals and help deliver projects.
• Support delivery and leadership of multidisciplinary schemes with senior colleagues.
