Job summary

SLR Consulting Ltd is seeking a Principal or Associate to strengthen and grow our Transport Planning team in Scotland. You will lead projects, manage client relationships, win new work and mentor junior consultants, while collaborating across Planning, Environmental and Engineering disciplines.

An ambitious, commercially minded professional will help expand our presence across Scotland and potentially work across the UK within a national team.

Qualifications

• Extensive UK transport planning consultancy experience.
• Experience across residential, retail, commercial, healthcare and energy sectors is desirable.
• Professional membership (MCIHT or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of transport planning projects across a diverse client portfolio.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships to generate repeat business.
• Identify opportunities, support bids and contribute to winning new work.
• Lead client meetings, presentations and stakeholder engagement.
• Manage project performance, profitability and programme delivery.
• Deliver high-quality Transport Assessments, Statements and Travel Plans.
• Mentor developing team members and support growth of the team.
