Job summary

Essex Police & Kent Police seeks an experienced change, transformation or programme professional to lead the first phase of a major cross‑force transformation across Kent and Essex.

The six‑month assignment will shape how people, finances, procurement, payroll, contracts and corporate services are managed for 13,500 officers and staff. You will lead discovery, options appraisal and the business case with senior leaders and a delivery partner.

Qualifications

• Experience leading organisational change or complex programmes at a senior level.
• Ability to develop options, recommendations or business cases to support investment decisions.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and governance bodies, providing clear advice and challenge.
• Strong understanding of dependencies, risks and cross-organisational impacts.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable recommendations.
• Line manager endorsement.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, options appraisal and business case phase.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and the external delivery partner.
• Shape programme vision, scope, costs and anticipated benefits.
• Manage cross‑force transformation affecting Kent and Essex.
• Travel to locations across Kent and Essex as required.
