Job summary

Essex Police and Kent Police are seeking a Head of IT Solutions to lead software development, application management and solutions support for an estate of 500+ systems used by 14,000 officers and staff across both forces. You will set strategic direction for the full lifecycle from development through retirement and ensure services are secure, resilient and user-centred.

You will join the IT Senior Management Team, influence strategy, manage senior stakeholders, and deliver major programmes

Qualifications

• Significant senior leadership experience within a technology-enabled organisation.
• Proven ability to engage with senior stakeholders and translate complex issues into business outcomes.
• Strong understanding of software development, application management and modern delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for the full solution lifecycle from development to retirement.
• Lead the IT Solutions teams delivering 500+ applications used by 14,000+ staff.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, suppliers and partners to align with policing requirements.
• Ensure secure, resilient and user-centred services across Kent and Essex Police.
