Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

Job Description:

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems for high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working alongside technical experts committed to impactful work. Contribute to building and maintaining critical infrastructure that keeps the nation connected and protected 24/7.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide oversight on new product or service ideas and design planning
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience in designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on existing traffic signal solutions.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
