Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer in the United Kingdom (Remote) Job Description

We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence, suitable for conducting surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, adhering to approved procedures and specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Develop complex MOVA Designs and Datasets
• Apply design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and Traffic Signs Manual
• Validate MOVA systems for complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking advancement to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with fresh perspectives in Traffic Signal Design.

Key Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Experience with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
