Job Description:

Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer United Kingdom (Remote)

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence, suitable for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Develop technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Maintain knowledge of standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Perform MOVA Validations on complex junctions and roundabouts

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have prior experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with fresh perspectives on existing solutions within Traffic Signal Design.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
