Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)

We're looking for an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence—ideal for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and drive solutions, working closely with technical experts committed to impactful work. Help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and protection 24/7.

What you’ll do: Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer:

• Undertake on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
• Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, aligned with approved procedures, including technical specifications
• Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
• Prepare complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
• Have good knowledge of design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
• Undertake MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts

Who you are:

The ideal candidate has experience designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and seeks to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, bringing fresh perspectives to Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer Key Requirements:

• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software
• Microsoft Office skills
• Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
• Familiarity with MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking
• Knowledge of LinSig 3
• Full UK Driving Licence
